Job Summary
Provide occupational therapy services in accordance with the physician's plan of care, evaluating patient functional abilities and developing individualized care plans to improve function, self-care, and independence. Deliver therapeutic interventions to multiple patients daily while monitoring response to treatment and communicating changes to the physician and care team. Educate patients, caregivers, and staff on therapy goals, techniques, and adaptive equipment use, and regularly reassess needs to revise plans as appropriate. Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with agency policies and provide required supervision of the Occupational Therapy Assistant. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care and participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing education.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (ACOTE or equivalent)
- Successfully completed the NBCOT certification exam (or meets Medicare Conditions of Participation requirements if licensed prior to 1978)
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state which you are applying
- Minimum of (1) year experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of auto insurance
- Reliable personal transportation
