Job Summary
Occupational Therapist needed for maternity leave coverage to support elementary students in North East, MD. Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine motor, sensory, and functional needs; develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans; provide direct OT services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation; collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate strategies; recommend and implement adaptive equipment and classroom modifications; maintain records in compliance with Maryland DOE and IDEA guidelines; participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions; provide training to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence; two OT positions available with hourly pay.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapy License issued by the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
- NBCOT Certification (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy)
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
