Job Summary
Occupational Therapist needed for school year with in-person duties. Lead evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs; develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans; provide direct OT services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation; collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies; recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve accessibility; maintain ISBE/IDEA-compliant records; participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions; provide training to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence. Caseload ~46 students; 37.5 hours weekly; contract duration 2/23/2026 - 5/21/2026.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Illinois OT Licensure (IDFPR)
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles)
- NBCOT Certification preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
