Occupational Therapist

Conduct evaluations and assessments to identify students' fine motor, sensory-processing, visual-motor, self-care, and functional needs. Develop and implement occupational therapy goals, intervention plans, and recommendations as part of students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to improve students' classroom participation, independence, and access to the educational environment. Collaborate with teachers, families, special education staff, and related service providers to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom routines. Recommend and implement adaptive equipment, assistive technology, environmental modifications, and accommodations to improve student accessibility. Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust interventions based on students' needs and IEP goals. Maintain accurate evaluations, progress reports, service logs, and other documentation in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE), IDEA, and district requirements. Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary evaluations, reevaluations, and student support team meetings. Provide consultation and training to teachers, paraprofessionals, and school staff regarding strategies that promote student independence and participation.
