Job Summary
Occupational Therapist needed to cover maternity leave in a school setting. Responsibilities include evaluating motor, sensory, and functional needs; developing and implementing IEPs and therapy plans; providing direct OT services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation; collaborating with teachers, parents, and special education teams; recommending adaptive equipment and classroom modifications; maintaining ISBE/IDEA-compliant documentation; participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions; and providing training to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence. Qualifications include a Master’s or Doctorate in OT, active Illinois OT license, ISBE approval as a Related Service Provider (if required), preferred NBCOT certification, and fingerprint clearance. Contract offers up to 40 hours per week with potential extension or conversion opportunities; competitive pay range $45-$60 per hour; benefits include paid time off, holidays, professional development reimbursements, and 401(k) match. Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Illinois OT Licensure (IDFPR)
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles)
