Job Summary
Temporary Full-Time Occupational Therapist for School Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS) in Brampton, ON. Provides OT services to students in publicly funded schools from kindergarten to school exit, including initial assessments, goal setting, service-delivery planning, equipment prescription through SEA, documentation, and collaboration with school teams and families. Delivers a Tiered Model of Service in elementary and middle schools, with family/caregiver consultation in home environments for students with complex physical needs. Requires travel, a valid Ontario driver’s license, immunization, and is anchored in a community-based work arrangement. Immunization and vulnerable sector check are required; role emphasizes collaboration with school teams, stakeholders, and a commitment to accessible, inclusive care.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized university
- Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)
- Travel is a requirement for these roles
- Must possess a valid Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle
- Current CPR and First Aid
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
