Job Summary
Provide occupational therapy services for patients in skilled nursing facilities while maintaining positive interactions with facilities and clients. Screen and evaluate patients, develop initial and ongoing treatment plans, and create discharge plans. Supervise assistants and rehab techs during group and individual treatment, ensuring compliance with State Practice Acts, OBRA, and Reliant Rehabilitation policies. Optimize patient functionality and skills through direct care and clinical supervision. Manage case responsibilities, adhere to infection control protocols, and maintain valid state licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ACOTE accredited school of occupational therapy
- Valid certification from the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Valid Occupational Therapist state license (where applicable)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend in English: instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports
