Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Rehab Program Coordinator leading the therapy program in senior care communities, serving as clinical and operational leader to support high-quality, efficient rehabilitation services. Responsibilities include coordinating an interdisciplinary therapy team (OT, PT, Speech), optimizing care planning and patient outcomes, managing scheduling, caseloads, PPS coding and regulatory compliance, driving quality improvement through QAPI initiatives, budgeting and resource management, onboarding and mentoring therapy staff, and providing direct patient care when needed while ensuring safe, compliant therapy environments. Requires active OT licensure (IA/NE depending on location) and experience in leadership, documentation, reimbursement processes, and collaboration with nursing and facility leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Nebraska or Iowa based on assigned location
- One to two years of therapy experience in acute/post-acute care/rehabilitation or similar
- Prior leadership, team lead, supervisory, or operational management experience preferred
- Strong understanding of therapy documentation, care planning, clinical outcomes, and reimbursement processes
- Ability to lead, coach, and support a multidisciplinary therapy team
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Must be able to perform direct patient care within licensed discipline as needed
