Job Summary
Provide occupational therapy services to patients across ages, with a focus on geriatrics and individuals with disabilities or autism, in skilled nursing facilities. Assess patient needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to improve physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning. Assist with activities of daily living to promote independence; collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care; educate patients and families about treatment plans and exercises; maintain accurate documentation of progress and outcomes; stay current with best practices in occupational therapy; leverage knowledge of anatomy and rehabilitation principles to support recovery in geriatric populations.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Occupational Therapist preferred
- Experience with geriatrics and autism
- Experience in skilled nursing facilities
- Ability to assess patients and develop individualized treatment plans
- Strong documentation skills
- Collaborative work with healthcare team
