Job Summary
Provide direct rehab care to patients upon physician referral in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Implement and interpret department programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures while overseeing and evaluating care given by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students. Utilize therapy software appropriately, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and exhibit excellent customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email, with knowledge of post-acute care facility guidelines. New grads welcome. Full-time position includes a $7k sign-on bonus, 401(k) match, and comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e mail
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
- Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
- Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Oversee and evaluate care given by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students
- Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
