Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students' motor skills, sensory processing, and functional abilities for K-12 students. Develop individualized treatment plans and goals in collaboration with parents and school staff, then implement evidence-based interventions to promote skill development. Monitor progress toward goals, adjust intervention plans as needed, and provide consultation to teachers on classroom strategies. Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for students' academic and functional needs.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field
- Valid state license as an Occupational Therapist in the state in which you live in in which you are practicing
- Registered with the National Board Certification Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school or pediatric setting
- Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric occupational therapy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail
- Computer skills (including email/ and Microsoft teams)
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around in various areas of the school facility
- Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must have the physical stamina to supervise and engage with students throughout the school day

- Knowledge of sensory integration therapy, handwriting without tears, and other therapeutic modalities
