Job Summary
Conduct written rehabilitation assessments for new clients using verbal, written, auditory, and visual communication. Lead or co-lead therapeutic groups with treatment team staff to restore social, vocational, and physical functioning. Develop and implement individualized schedules of therapeutic groups, supervising recreation and activity programs including indoor, outdoor, and exercise activities. Document and report client progress and outcomes in therapeutic programs, including group activities and individualized goal planning. Provide work direction to Rehab Aides as needed and notify the treatment team of recommendations for implementation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work field
- Active California certification as a Certified Recreation Therapist
- National Certification as a Certified Recreation Specialist (CTRS)
- Registered California Board of Occupational Therapist License
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year experience with seriously emotionally disturbed adolescents in an inpatient or outpatient health care setting
