Job Summary
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient needs. Provide one-on-one occupational therapy services focused on functional, goal-driven outcomes while monitoring progress and adjusting plans as appropriate. Supervise therapy assistants, rehab technicians, and students as applicable, and complete accurate documentation in accordance with professional standards. Educate patients, families, and nursing staff on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to participate in care planning and support successful discharge planning. Maintain productivity standards while following Medicare and insurance requirements. Assist with equipment maintenance and help maintain a clean, safe therapy environment. Flexible part-time schedule with local travel reimbursement provided.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Current Occupational Therapist license, or eligibility for licensure, in North Carolina
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Positive, patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care
- Ability to safely assist patients during therapy sessions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required
- Willingness to work a flexible part-time schedule and travel locally if needed
