Job Summary
OT assesses, plans, and provides rehabilitative care to restore or improve function in activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognition, strength, coordination, and range of motion for patients in inpatient rehab. Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, selecting appropriate activities, updating goals with patient/family input, providing ongoing patient and family education, discharge instructions and referrals, and acting as a resource to staff and physicians; documentation per departmental guidelines; adherence to ethical standards, infection prevention, and attendance at required meetings. Positions require collaboration with the physician, interdisciplinary team, and adherence to Wellstar policies; education requirements include OT degree and licensure with BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- OT license/credentialing (OT)
- BLS certification (or ARC-BLS/Instructor)
- Effective communication skills
- Customer service focused, team oriented
- Licensure and continuing education compliance
