Job Summary
Occupational Therapist PT for Day shifts in inpatient rehab. Responsibilities include implementing the OT treatment plan, selecting and adjusting therapies, educating patients and families, documenting sessions and plans of care, collaborating with physicians on evaluation and discharge planning, and ensuring adherence to departmental guidelines. Requires license/certification as an OT and BLS, with emphasis on patient education, discharge planning, infection prevention, teamwork, and ongoing professional development. The role emphasizes helping patients regain activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognitive tasks, strength, coordination, and range of motion, across the full continuum of care. Location: White Plains, NY.
Required Qualifications
- Required Minimum Education: Bachelors Occupational Therapy or Masters Occupational Therapy
- OT - Occupational Therapist
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - American Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
- Effective communication skills, customer service focused, team oriented, and basic computer skills.
