Job Summary
Mid-level Occupational Therapist delivering essential therapeutic services to improve clients’ daily living and work skills. Utilizes a range of treatment modalities (direct and indirect) to support client recovery and independence. Collaborates with Behavioral Health staff and provides services within both the therapeutic community and field settings. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, creating individualized treatment plans, leading individual and group sessions to improve motor skills, cognitive functioning, and adaptive behaviors, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, educating clients and caregivers, and potentially training staff. After-hours and weekend work may be required. Requires a master’s degree in OT from an ACOTE-accredited program and an active California OT license; strong experience with mental health populations and older adults; proficiency with documentation and EMR; valid driver’s license; first aid training.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE-accredited program
- California Occupational Therapy License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy
- Experience with mental health populations and older adults (assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions)
- Ability to conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and facilitate individual and group sessions
- Ability to document accurately in accordance with agency, payer, and regulatory requirements
- First aid training
- Valid Driver’s License and insurance eligibility
- Licensed and in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (as applicable)
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR)
