Conduct direct occupational therapy evaluations and re-evaluations, assessing patient functioning to set goals and recommend discharge. Deliver therapeutic interventions including patient and family education, while utilizing standard documentation forms and collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team on treatment progress. Coordinate personal scheduling based on patient treatment demands, maintain department equipment, and complete Continuing Education Units to meet state competency requirements. Adhere to Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations for physical environment and patient care. Requires a Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy, one to two years of acute care or rehabilitation experience, and a current D.C. license.
