Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist plans, organizes, and conducts occupational therapy treatment programs, maintaining patient care records and evaluating patient responses to recommend treatment plan modifications. Responsibilities include conducting age and diagnosis appropriate evaluations and treatments, adhering to documentation standards, and achieving established productivity levels. The role requires proficiency in Windows-based applications for data entry and effective communication skills for interacting with patients and team members. Participation in in-service education and program development is also expected.
Required Qualifications
- Current Louisiana occupational therapy license or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
