Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions for patients with complex rehabilitative needs including stroke, spinal cord injury, and neurological disorders. Educate patients and families on Activities of Daily Living, self-management techniques, and strategies to maintain improved function at home. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and social workers to create comprehensive care plans while documenting progress and recommending home modifications or assistive devices. Stay current on latest occupational therapy practices through continuing education. Requires current unencumbered Occupational Therapy license, BLS certification, and Master's degree.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered license to practice professional Occupational Therapy in the state where currently practicing.
- Current BLS required via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross (required).
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (required).
- Proficient in documentation and medical record keeping.
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of Inpatient Rehabilitation experience (preferred).
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
- Strong understanding of current trends and best practices in rehabilitation medicine.
