Job Summary
Join Suncoast Hospice as an Occupational Therapist-PRN, responsible for evaluating participants’ needs and supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants in line with Florida regulations. Responsibilities include conducting assessments for home modifications, constructing orthotic equipment, and ensuring patient safety through follow-ups during treatment. Candidates should have a graduate degree in occupational therapy, valid state licensure, and experience with elderly populations. CPR certification and medical clearance are required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum
- Legally authorized, currently licensed, registered, or certified if applicable to practice in the state of Florida
- Minimum one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population
- Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact
- For field-based positions, employees must have reliable transportation and valid FL driver's license with proof of valid automobile insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook
- Valid CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
