Job Summary
Consult with patients to evaluate their physical condition and its impact on daily occupations, well-being, and quality of life. Assess and interpret patient evaluations and test results, then develop individualized treatment plans using therapeutic techniques to maximize performance in activities of daily living. Assess patients' home and living environments to recommend modifications and provide adaptive equipment training. Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care while monitoring patient response and modifying interventions as clinically appropriate. Provide clinical education and support to patients, family members, and caregivers, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care. Complete documentation thoroughly and timely in compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy license
- In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
- Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices
Desired Qualifications
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred
- Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred
