Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (PRN, Days) conducts patient evaluations and structures an OT program, treating medically referred patients while supervising on-call OT personnel and potentially supervising rehab aides and students. Responsibilities include documenting results, forming treatment plans and goals, administering therapies (neurodevelopmental techniques, muscle reeducation, ADLs, splinting, and appropriate physical modalities per AOTA guidelines), instructing patients and caregivers in adaptive equipment and exercises, coordinating with physicians, handling discharge summaries, managing insurance recertifications, contributing to department management and quality assurance, and participating in hospital committees and marketing of department services. Requires graduation from an accredited OT curriculum, state licensure, CPR certification, NBCOT eligibility/ certification, and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a graduate of an accredited occupational therapy curriculum.
- Must be currently licensed as an occupational therapist in the State of Indiana.
- Must be C.P.R. certified.
- Must be registered by, or eligible with, the N.B.C.O.T. and pass within 2 attempts.
