Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (PRN) provides skilled occupational therapy services to acutely ill patients across orthopedic, surgical, oncology, cardiac and general medical units. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients, establishing treatment plans with consideration for discharge goals and equipment needs, educating and collaborating with patients, families, and other healthcare providers, delegating to assistants and students with appropriate skill assessment, completing documentation per policies, and providing assessments or consultations as needed. Minimum education is a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy with an OT license; Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy is preferred. Schedule includes 4 shifts every 5 weeks with 2 weekend shifts and 1 holiday (or holiday weekend), typically 7:30-4:00 or 8:00-4:30. The role is at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, recognized for Magnet status and high-quality patient care.
