Occupational Therapist

Evaluate and treat adult and geriatric patients in an acute hospital setting to improve functional mobility, activities of daily living, safety, and independence. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for medically complex cases and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support safe discharge planning. Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and equipment use while documenting evaluations, progress, and recommendations in the electronic medical record. This role delivers occupational therapy services within the Inpatient Rehabilitation department at St. Mary's Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO.
