Job Summary
Evaluate residents and develop individualized OT treatment plans to improve independence with daily living activities; assess functional, cognitive, perceptual, and physical abilities to identify rehabilitation needs; administer occupational therapy treatments designed to enhance strength, coordination, mobility, safety awareness, and overall function; develop and implement programs that help residents achieve maximum independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs); recommend adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and compensatory strategies to improve safety and independence; monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate; collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, therapy team members, residents, and families to ensure optimal outcomes; provide education and training to residents, family members, and caregivers; ensure all services are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care and regulatory requirements; complete documentation accurately and timely in compliance with company, state, and federal guidelines; participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning conferences; new graduates welcome to apply.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
