Job Summary
Assess patient needs, develop recovery plans, and deliver occupational therapy to help older adults restore independence and thrive. Design individualized programs that reinforce physical abilities while training patients and caregivers on skills for productivity. Collaborate with peers to make referrals and adapt care to diverse patient settings across skilled nursing, assisted living, outpatient clinics, and home-based environments. Work in a facility setting under the Director of Rehab, supported by a clinical mentorship program and free continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
