Job Summary
Provide in-home/outpatient occupational therapy for older adults, delivering evaluation, treatment, and program planning in patients’ homes or in independent living facilities. Responsibilities include supervising aides, adhering to schedules and documentation, coordinating with the rehabilitation team, adapting plans to patient needs, promoting safe environments, ordering and maintaining equipment, and training in functional activities and adaptive devices (including orthotics/prosthetics). Skills span cognitive and physical rehabilitation domains, ADLs, mobility, balance, falls risk management, health and wellness, community reintegration, and case-management in home/community settings. Emphasis on flexible scheduling, home-based care, and collaboration with physicians and caregivers. Also supports clinical mentorship, CEU opportunities, and visa/relocation sponsorships.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- Valid occupational therapy license in the state of practice
- Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to and from patient's residence
