Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and documentation for patients of all ages, from birth through geriatric, to enhance physical health and functional abilities. Deliver physical therapy to outreach sites as indicated and carry out operational duties for the Rehabilitation Department. Perform all aspects of treatment based on national, departmental, and evidence-based standards while maintaining a safe and clean environment. Document care in a timely, accurate manner to support medical necessity, utilizing computerized health information systems such as EPIC and Microsoft Office applications. Adapt to frequent interruptions, prioritize duties under stress, and communicate effectively with diverse providers and staff. Maintain a valid driver's license and demonstrate professional judgment in seeing patients as unique individuals.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with computerized health information systems
- Knowledge of EPIC
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in Microsoft Office
- Ability to use Windows
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of EMR systems
- Ability to adapt to frequent interruptions
- Ability to identify and prioritize duties
- Ability to work under stress
- Ability to concentrate on critical tasks

- A Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapist through South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners
- Current BLS certificate
- Ability to communicate effectively with providers and all levels of staff
- Valid Driver's License
- Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Exerting 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently
- Exerting greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly
- Prolonged periods of standing or walking
- Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, or fingers
- Ability to use and manipulate hands
- Corrected vision within normal range
- Corrected hearing within normal range
