Job Summary

Assess and treat patients referred for occupational therapy in an effective and professional manner while adhering to Maryland State law and the American Occupational Therapy Association Code of Ethics. Collaborate with physicians, medical professionals, staff, and families to ensure quality of care for patients of all ages from neonates through geriatric. Additional training may be required to work with special programs, procedures, or specified groups of patients as determined by department guidelines and best practice. Support the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital. Must be able to work weekends and holidays and become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling, and charging.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school with a M.S. or B.S. degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current licensure by the Maryland State Board
  • American Heart Association - CPR certified within probationary period - six (6) months
  • Successful completion of at least six months supervised, full time fieldwork approved by the educational institution granting the degree
  • Adheres to the AOTA Code of Ethics
  • Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Willing and able to become proficient on basic computer systems utilized for documentation, scheduling and charging systems
