Job Summary
OT provides therapy to help patients regain independence during post-acute care. You will support one-on-one patient progress across hospital stays, delegate tasks to assistants as needed, deliver evidence-based occupational therapy treatment in compliance with hospital, state, and federal guidelines, and maintain open communication with hospital departments to coordinate patient and staff needs. The role involves working with patients with conditions such as stroke, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, joint replacements, and cardiac/pulmonary conditions, utilizing the latest technologies, and pursuing ongoing growth opportunities within a national leader in post-acute care. Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure or certification on or before first day of employment required.
- CPR certification preferred, unless otherwise required by hospital policy.
- Successful completion of a degree from an accredited therapy program or one that is determined to be substantially equivalent to a U.S.-accredited program by an appropriate certifying agency preferred.
- Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers required.
- Demonstrated competency in occupational therapy evaluation, assessment, care planning and treatment.
