Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) responsible for managing a 75% productive caseload, providing screenings, evaluations, and direct 1:1 therapy to clients using evidence-based, person-centered approaches. Responsibilities include documenting services per regulations, coordinating assessments and treatment plans, supervising staff (COTA/L), participating in team meetings, ensuring HIPAA/privacy compliance, maintaining safety and facility standards, and leading/training initiatives within the OT department. Requires licensure in Minnesota/Wisconsin, NBCOT/AOTA credentials, and the ability to lift 50 pounds; proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel; and commitment to ethical, client-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
- OTR/L Certification from NBCOT or AOTA and licensure in Minnesota and/or Wisconsin.
- Ability to lift fifty pounds.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Dependable and consistent work ethic.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Background checks cleared (felony, mistreatment history, disqualifying misdemeanors).
- Experience with children and ability to engage playfully and energetically.
- Ability to write assessments/evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Ability to work within a team and take supervisory direction.
- Commitment to required and optional training.
- Active MDH registration and NBCOT/AOTA membership preferred.
