Job Summary
The Occupational Therapist (OT) at Solterra School is an onsite clinical provider responsible for evaluating, treating, and supporting students with sensory, motor, regulation, and functional participation needs. The OT collaborates with classroom teams, clinical staff, and families to embed OT strategies into the daily school routine, providing direct individual and small-group therapy, sensory integration and regulation supports, and functional skills development (ADLs, handwriting readiness, organization, transitions). Responsibilities include comprehensive evaluations and treatment planning, documentation fidelity and compliance readiness, family partnership, and interdisciplinary collaboration with teachers, BCBA/behavior teams, SLP, and school nurse to ensure culturally responsive, dignity-centered care aligned with UDL and trauma-informed educational environments. The role emphasizes measurable progress toward functional independence and regulation goals, and requires Texas? Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active (or eligible) Virginia licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong clinical skill supporting students with sensory, motor, and regulation needs
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and classroom environments
- Strong professionalism, communication skills, and documentation integrity
