Job Summary

Conduct occupational therapy treatment and patient care according to company, state, and federal regulations. Evaluate clients referred for therapy using specialized testing procedures and data from interviews, medical records, and assessments of strength, range of motion, and cognition. Provide initial assessments within 21 days of admission and develop individualized plans of care with short and long-term goals. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify needs, advocate for clients, and modify treatment based on client response. Administer skilled therapy, document progress and outcomes, and provide ongoing education to clients and Direct Support Professionals. Maintain competencies and stay abreast of research and evidence-based medicine.

Required Qualifications

  • Current state OT license
  • CPR
  • Successful completion of an accredited Master's Degree program or accredited Bachelor's Degree program plus sufficient experience in the field
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 50 pounds including medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of clients
