Job Summary
Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients, communicates with families and physicians, and maintains documentation of services in medical records. Generates and implements treatment plans, trains facility staff on therapy processes, supervises COTA and students, and participates in care conferences and discharge planning. Requires state licensure, ability to document per policy and payer requirements, and proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care; strong communication and training skills are essential for coordinating with the health team and families, and for advancing patient mobility and independence through durable medical equipment as indicated.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state
- Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care
- Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals
- Ability to present information to managers, coworkers, and families
- Supervises Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), aides and students
