Job Summary
Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient setting by developing functional daily living skills and fabricating custom orthoses. Document prior function, current limitations, and measurable goals using standardized tools, then complete evaluations, progress notes, care plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with department standards. Coordinate care with the interprofessional medical team and patients while participating in clinical site education for PT students. Perform routine chart reviews, contribute to performance improvement projects, and deliver in-service presentations based on continuing education opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited program in Occupational Therapy
- 2 years of experience
- Current CA OT license
- Current BLS Certification
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
- Able to work collaboratively with multiple health professionals in a busy and complex environment using tact, diplomacy, and discipline
- Strong charting/documentation skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to collect, interpret, and/or analyze diagnostic data
- Ability to understand and respond to a diverse population
