Job Summary
Perform initial patient assessments and implement treatments based on written plans. Provide ongoing assessments through observation and record patient data. Identify specific rehabilitation learning needs and deliver appropriate education to patients. Demonstrate initiative in professional development while maintaining independent judgment without direct supervision. Provide guidance and direction to therapy assistants as needed. Requires a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and a Tennessee license. Medium physical exertion with frequent patient contact and exposure to body fluids.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy
- Occupational Therapist Tennessee - Tennessee Board of Occupational Therapy
- Ability to understand and prepare moderately complex written materials, such as patient records
- Ability to communicate verbally with Associates, physicians and other outside professionals
- Ability to work without close supervision and to exercise independent judgment
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and projects and maintain control of work flow
- Must have good balance and coordination
- The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently
- The Associate is required to have close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations
