Job Summary
Occupational Therapist in the outpatient setting providing evaluation and direct patient care to individuals of all ages to maximize function and independence, with appropriate documentation. Performs essential rehab services, supports the Rehab Services department operations, and participates in outreach sites. Includes supervision per state/federal/professional standards, educating patients and families in treatment, goal setting and discharge planning, and maintaining regulatory compliance. Strong emphasis on teamwork, professional development, and contributing to a compassionate, patient-centered care culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure/certification in South Dakota
- South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners eligibility/approval
- Ability to provide evaluation and direct patient care to individuals of all ages in outpatient settings
- Documentation of care to support medical necessity and billing
- Ability to adhere to departmental standards and regulatory requirements
- Flexibility to work PRN and participate in outreach activities
