Job Summary
Deliver bespoke occupational therapy assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence, or SEMH needs while fostering their independence. Collaborate with the education team to hold a caseload in accordance with the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working, supported by a clinical supervisor and lead clinician. Apply sensory-informed practice where relevant and produce clear, concise reports. Work within a multidisciplinary team in a person-centred environment that prioritizes pupil safety and involvement. Join a clinical network offering regular peer reflection, training forums, and a £2000 CPD allowance post-probation.
Required Qualifications
- Bsc or Msc in Occupational Therapy
- Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
- Registered member of RCOT
- Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
- Ability to work independently, flexible and confidence working in a school environment
- Clear and concise report writing skills
- All successful applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting
- Previously engaged with people who are neurodivergent and/or experience learning difficulty and/or socio-emotional and mental health difficulties in any setting, being able to evidence transferrable skills
- Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality
- Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed)
- £2000 CPD Training Allowance
