Job Summary
Deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergent needs, or SEMH challenges at Hillingdon Manor School. Collaborate with education teams to foster independence while managing a full caseload under the guidance of a designated clinical supervisor and Lead Clinician. Adhere to the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and maintain a person-centred, empowering approach within a multidisciplinary clinical team. This role supports young people aged 11–19 in an independent specialist day school, with a focus on sensory integration and multi-professional practice.
Required Qualifications
- Bsc or Msc in Occupational Therapy
- Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
- Registered member of RCOT
- Sound knowledge and clinical understanding of OT theory and its practical application to support independence
- Ability to work independently, flexible and confidence working in a school environment
- Clear and concise report writing skills
- All successful applicants will be subject to social media checks
- Successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant experience in providing occupational therapy services within a similar setting is preferrable
- Previously engaged with people who are neurodivergent and/or experience learning difficulty and/or socio-emotional and mental health difficulties in any setting, being able to evidence transferrable skills
- Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated speciality preferred
- Interest in sensory integration or sensory-informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed is preferrable, however not essential)
