Job Summary
Occupational Therapist opportunity with Otterbein Staffing Agency (OSA) in Ohio. PRN scheduling across Otterbein communities and services (independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, rehab, memory care, respite, home health, hospice) offering flexible locations and hours. Responsibilities include performing initial evaluations and ongoing patient assessments, initiating and updating a written plan of care, delivering skilled OT modalities, documenting care per laws and agency policies, participating in multidisciplinary case conferences, promoting patient/family education, supervising Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, conducting regular chart reviews and home visits, coordinating discharge planning and connecting patients with community resources. Requires current Ohio OT licensure, two years of OT experience, and CPR; continuing education to maintain licensure is expected. The role supports a person-centered care approach within senior care settings and may involve work across multiple Otterbein sites with scheduling flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association; or, Is eligible for the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association; or, Has two (2) years of experience as an Occupational Therapist, and has achieved a satisfactory grade on a proficiency examination conducted, approved, or sponsored by the US Public Health Service except for those individuals initially licensed by the State or seeking qualification as an Occupational Therapist after December 31, 1977
- Licensure/Certification: Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist for the State of Ohio
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Occupational Therapists who supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) must have two (2) years home care experience and one (1) year supervisory experience
- Current CPR card
