Job Summary
Evaluate residents' physical, cognitive, and functional abilities to develop and implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans. Provide therapeutic interventions targeting activities of daily living, mobility, coordination, strength, and independence. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment plans, adaptive techniques, and equipment use while monitoring progress and adjusting plans as needed. Complete accurate clinical documentation and participate in care planning meetings and interdisciplinary team conferences. Recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications to support resident independence. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists to ensure services comply with facility policies and state regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Current and active Occupational Therapist license in the state
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- Current NBCOT certification
Desired Qualifications
- Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care experience preferred
