Job Summary
Develop, establish goals, implement, evaluate, and re-evaluate individualized occupational therapy treatment plans for residents at Pennypack Park and Doylestown sites. Perform evaluations and treatment including activities of daily living and range of motion exercises to improve resident function. Use discharge planning skills to promote independence and instruct residents, families, and caregivers in OT program techniques. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and Aides while communicating essential progress information to the interdisciplinary team. Adhere to Universal Precautions, infection control, and HIPAA regulations to ensure safe, effective rehabilitation in a compassionate environment. Requires current Pennsylvania unrestricted license, AOTA certification, and a Master's degree. Three to five years of skilled nursing facility experience is needed.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of experience in skilled nursing facility setting
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the American Occupational Therapy Association and certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Current unrestricted licensed as required in the state of Pennsylvania
- Registered with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
- Must be an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the American Occupational Therapy Association and certified by the American Occupational Therapy Association under its requirements
- Must have current unrestricted licensed as required in the state of Pennsylvania
- Must be registered with the American Occupational Therapy Certification Board
