Job Summary
As a School-Based Occupational Therapist, assess and treat K-12 students with physical, developmental, sensory, and learning challenges; conduct comprehensive OT evaluations focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and learning readiness; design individualized IEP goals for handwriting, self-care, classroom participation, and independence; provide direct and consultative OT services including sensory integration activities and environmental modifications; develop classroom-wide sensory breaks and accommodations; collaborate with special education, physical therapy, and classroom staff on positioning and accessibility; assess adaptive equipment and assistive technology and contribute to IEP/ARD meetings and transition planning for secondary students; required NBCOT certification and Florida license.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program NBCOT certification required
- Valid, unrestricted Florida OT license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Clear background check and proof of immunization status per district requirements
