Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic evaluations and treatment for assigned patients to maximize their functional performance within the community. Administer sensor-motor integration techniques, design individualized therapy programs, and instruct patients on adaptive equipment for self-care skills. Fabricate splints and adaptive devices per medical prescriptions while participating in home assessments and support groups. Maintain accurate patient records and reports, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, infection control, and resident rights policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy
- Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association
- Demonstrates the ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- Demonstrates the ability to make independent decisions, solve practical problems that may or may not include a variety of concrete variables
- Demonstrates the ability to listen actively and evaluate social situations in an objective, consistent and fair manner
- Demonstrates knowledge of Employee Handbook and complies with the policies in the Handbook
- Complies with community policies and procedures for workplace safety including infection control procedures, emergency response and safety protocol
- Complies with all company policies and procedures related to resident rights; abuse prevention and reporting; and resident confidentiality (HIPPA)
