Job Summary
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations within 24-48 hours of physician orders and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with physical, cognitive, and mobility limitations. Provide skilled services addressing activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognition, strength, endurance, positioning, and safety while supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and families to participate in care plan meetings and discharge planning. Complete accurate documentation, progress notes, and billing; recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications. Maintain compliance with AOTA standards and state licensure requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of practice
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team
- Strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF), post-acute care, rehabilitation, long-term care, or geriatrics
- Experience supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs)
