Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (OT) needed for school-based services during the school year. Responsibilities include conducting evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs; developing and implementing IEPs and therapy plans; providing direct OT services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation; collaborating with teachers, parents, and special education teams to integrate therapy strategies; recommending and implementing adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve accessibility; maintaining accurate records in compliance with ISBE and IDEA guidelines; participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions; providing training and consultation to teachers and staff on strategies to support student independence.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Illinois OT Licensure (IDFPR).
- Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles).
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
