Job Summary
Occupational Therapist (OT) needed to conduct evaluations and develop IEPs, provide direct OT services to support fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and the special education team. Responsibilities include implementing therapy plans, recommending adaptive equipment and classroom modifications, maintaining compliant records per ADE and IDEA guidelines, participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary discussions, and training staff on strategies to support student independence. Located in Surprise, AZ (school-based contract role with up to 40 hours/week).
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Arizona OT License (issued by the Arizona Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners)
- Arizona Department of Education (ADE) certification or ability to obtain one (if required for school-based roles)
- NBCOT Certification preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance Card & Background Check required
