Job Summary
Provide direct occupational therapy services to support students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs; develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans; support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation; collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams; recommend adaptive equipment and classroom modifications to improve accessibility; maintain records in ISBE/IDEA compliance; participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions; provide training to teachers and staff on strategies to promote student independence.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Illinois OT Licensure (IDFPR)
- Illinois ISBE Approval as a Related Service Provider (if required for school-based roles)
- NBCOT Certification preferred
- Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required
