Job Summary
Implement treatment plans focusing on functional and measurable outcomes for students aged 3-21 with physical, social-emotional, and developmental challenges. Assess and document progress through formal and informal tests while consulting with teachers, speech therapists, and physical therapists to ensure a cohesive team. Provide screenings and evaluations covering activities of daily living, fine and gross motor skills, and adaptive equipment needs within the school environment. Write annual review reports and goals in accordance with Individualized Education Plan dates and state guidelines. Attend all scheduled school meetings including Triennials, Annual Reviews, and IEP sessions. Maintain professional attitudes and respect for school staff while treating all students with dignity and empathy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE standards
- initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
- a valid and unencumbered occupational therapy license as required in the state of practice
- a current CPR Certification
