Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations, develop individualized plans of care, and deliver skilled therapeutic interventions addressing ADLs, IADLs, cognitive function, and upper extremity rehabilitation. Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, fabricate splints, and monitor patient progress to modify treatment plans based on clinical response. Lead discharge planning, coordinate transition-of-care, and supervise Occupational Therapist Assistants, rehabilitation aides, students, and volunteers. Complete compliant documentation, participate in care conferences, and maintain HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control standards while treating residents with dignity. Requires current California OT license, NBCOT certification, and BLS/CPR. Full-time position with $60–$67/hour pay, 401(k) match, and comprehensive benefits in a collaborative Skilled Nursing setting.
Required Qualifications
- Current, active, and unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the State of California
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate)
- Successful completion of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ongoing compliance with continuing education requirements established by the California Occupational Therapy Board
- Ability to assist with patient transfers, upper extremity handling and positioning techniques, mobility assistance, repositioning and supporting patients with or without assistive devices, prolonged standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, and stair navigation
- Ability to assist in resident evacuation during emergency situations
